Albany Park West Walking Tour

Join Chicago for Chicagoans founder and neighborhood resident Patti Swanson for a one-of-a-kind Albany Park seven year anniversary tour! Beginning at the Kimball Brown Line station, we’ll explore the history, landmarks, and architecture of one of the city’s most brilliantly diverse neighborhoods. See quaint rows of bungalows and other vernacular treasures, admire ornate public schools, fieldhouses and vintage storefronts, discover the rich history of our local businesses and nonprofit organizations, and learn stories of the area’s humble beginnings and the tapestry of immigrants that have created the neighborhood we love today.
The tour will wind through the western part of the neighborhood (approximately 3 miles), ending at Lawrence & Pulaski. Participants are encouraged to walk back to the train with the group, stopping for sweet treats at Aras Dulce Michoacan after the tour!
